Trekking

We will meet at the Teide Cable Car parking area at 1:00 a.m., where we will check everyone's equipment and make sure the group is fully prepared before setting off. In the stillness of the night, we will begin our ascent of Mount Teide. The route covers approximately 10 km (6.2 miles) with 1,300 metres (4,265 ft) of elevation gain, hiking beneath a sky filled with stars. We provide trekking poles and a headlamp, but it is essential that you come properly equipped with hiking boots, warm layered clothing, a hat, gloves, and a windproof jacket. After sunrise, solar radiation at this altitude becomes very intense, so we also recommend bringing sunglasses, a sun hat or cap, and sunscreen. Reaching the summit makes every step worthwhile. From the highest point in Spain, you will watch the sun rise over the eastern horizon while the iconic triangular shadow of Mount Teide stretches westwards across the sea or a blanket of clouds—one of Tenerife's most extraordinary natural spectacles. We will finish the experience by descending comfortably on the cable car. We strongly recommend booking as early as possible, as access to the summit is limited and requires a permit that must be obtained in advance.
